This region serves as a natural habitat for a diverse range of wildlife, including tigers, leopards, black panthers, elephants, gaur, deer, bears, reptiles, and almost 300 species of birds. With its rich biodiversity, Dandeli has attracted significant tourism, leading to the development of several resorts in the area. The government has also promoted eco-tourism with proper planning for the healthy breeding of wild animals.
